About techmommy!

techmommy's mascot who has decided to take over the laptop case!

As early as age 8, techmommy was taking things apart and putting them back together again. Instead of playing with dolls, techmommy was in her family basement surrounded by a self-created workshop for building bicycles, castles, science projects, jewelry, and a variety of mechanical devices. A techmommy-to-be was surely in the making.

As a Political Science graduate from Duke University, techmommy was able to refine and perfect the communications skills that would later be so valuable as a computer consultant. You see, explaining bewildering technological terms and complex hardware configurations is one of techmommy's specialties.

techmommy has been holding the hands of many hundreds of clients for over 23 gratifying years as they learn to navigate through the wired world with new confidence. As owner and lead consultant of The Electronic Empowerment Group, which, in January 2000, changed its name to techmommy, she has been there day and night, weekdays and weekends, tirelessly encouraging her clients to learn more, implement more, and face each high-tech day with a renewed sense of  "I can do it."

This same level of dedication, commitment to explaining things in plain English, broad range of technical knowledge, great sense of humor, and a mother's guiding hand can be yours just as soon as you contact techmommy.

"Alison came highly recommended, and was worth her weight in gold setting up

and testing my equipment."
