As early as age 8,
techmommy was taking things apart and putting them back together again. Instead
of playing with dolls, techmommy was in her family basement surrounded by a
self-created workshop for building bicycles, castles, science projects, jewelry,
and a variety of mechanical devices. A techmommy-to-be was surely in the
making.
As a Political Science graduate from Duke University, techmommy was able to refine and perfect
the communications skills that would later be so valuable as a computer
consultant. You see, explaining bewildering technological terms and complex hardware
configurations is one of techmommy's specialties.
